Which data Pluksy processes when you compare offers and follow a link to a store.
No account needed
You can use Pluksy without an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or postcode.
Country suggestion
On the start page we may suggest a country based on the approximate location of your connection. We use this only to suggest a country; your IP address is not stored for it, and the suggestion never changes the language or the page you opened.
Barcode scanner
When you scan a barcode, the camera image stays on your device: only the digits of the code go to Pluksy. If no store we compare carries that code, Pluksy looks the code up in the open product databases Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts and Open Products Facts, and then in the barcode database UPCitemdb, to find out what product it is. Only the code is sent, from our server: not your IP address, location or any other detail about you. We keep the answer per code for a few days, so the same code is not asked again.
Counting visitors
We count how many visitors Pluksy has per day and from which countries, without cookies. For that we turn your connection and browser into a code with a key that changes every day and then disappears; the code is only kept as part of a count, never on its own. We do not store your IP address or user agent, and your visit cannot be linked to another day.
Clicks to stores
When you follow a link to a store we record which offer was clicked, the country and language of the page, and the sorting or filter in use. We do not store your IP address, browser user agent or postcode with that record, and we never send personal data to stores or networks.
We measure which offers are shown on screen to understand how the comparison is used. These measurements contain no personal data.
Measuring ads (Meta Pixel)
With Analytics only or Accept all, we also measure visits, product views, confirmed searches, saved products, visible comparisons and clicks to shops in our own statistics. We keep only a source category and numeric campaign and ad identifiers; we do not store search text, full referring URLs or a personal visitor identifier. Test visits are marked separately. Clicks are not purchases.
Only if you consent in the cookie notice do we load the Meta Pixel. Meta Platforms Ireland then receives which Pluksy pages you view, your IP address and details about your browser, and can link them to your Facebook or Instagram account. We use this to measure whether our ads work. Withdraw your consent through Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Deleting your data
Your list, price alerts and any email address are tied to one cookie in your browser or in the app. On the Lists page, choose Delete my list and address under your email settings: we erase your list, its alert history and your email address straight away. Every email from Pluksy also contains a link to delete everything.
Remove products one by one from your list with the heart. Turn push notifications off under Price alerts or in your phone's settings. If you cannot do it yourself, contact us through the contact page and we delete your data for you.
